Quorn Meat-Free Inasal and Satay Skewers

Ingredients

Inasal Marinade

  • 2 tbsp. Ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp. Garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup Lemongrass, chopped
  • 1 cup Vinegar
  • ½ cup Calamansi Juice
  • 1 tbsp. Fish Sauce
  • ¼ cup Sugar

Inasal Basting Sauce

  • 3 tbsp. Annatto Oil
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Calamansi Juice

For Satay Marinade

  • 50 g Garlic, minced
  • 50 g Onion, chopped
  • ½ cup Lemongrass, chopped
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk
  • 5 tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tbsp. Turmeric

Method

For Inasal

  1. To make the marinade, combine all the marinade ingredients together in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Marinate half of the Quorn Pieces for 4 hours before grilling.
  3. During grilling, baste the inasal sticks with a generous amount of the annatto oil mixture.
  4. Grill for 3 - 4 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the grilled inasal to a serving plate and serve with sinamak dipping sauce.

For Satay

  1. To make the marinade, combine all the marinade ingredients together in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Marinate half of the Quorn Pieces for 4 hours before grilling.
  3. Grill for 3 - 4 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer the grilled Quorn satay to a serving plate
