Quorn mycoprotein is used as an ingredient in all Quorn products. It is made from a natural, nutritious fungus, and is high in protein, high in fibre, low in saturated fat and contains no cholesterol. Producing Quorn mycoprotein requires 90% less land, water and carbon emissions than producing animal proteins, so it's also good for the health of our planet. Find out more here.
We're proud to say nearly all of our products are below 1.5g per 100g for salt and the small number of exceptions to this are where we try to make it as simple as possible to swap from processed meat to meat free. We always try to minimise the amount of salt in our products.
There are currently a few Quorn products which are manufactured on sites which also handle nuts. Where this presents a risk, this is detailed on the ingredients declaration on the back of pack, in bold type.
There are a number of Quorn products which are Halal approved. As Quorn is a meat free brand, this is to ensure there is no alcohol used in either the products or the process of manufacture. For a full list of halal products, please get in touch with our customer service team.
While Quorn’s main ingredient is Quorn mycoprotein, some product recipes incorporate ingredients derived from soy, such as soy sauce or edamame beans. Quorn is committed to only using certified sustainable, deforestation-free soy in all products and require all suppliers to provide certification for any soy used in Quorn products.
Some of our Quorn products are kosher and have gained Kosher approval with the Manchester Beth Din. Please visit the Manchester Beth Din website and search 'Quorn' for details of our approved products.
Quorn mycoprotein, an ingredient in all Quorn products, is a unique and nutritious protein that can form part of a healthy, balanced diet. It is high in protein, high in fibre, low in saturated fat and contains no cholesterol. This high-quality protein contains all nine essential amino acids which are not produced in the body and must be obtained through the food we eat.
Quorn mycoprotein contains a variety of vitamins and minerals, it is a source of riboflavin and is high in choline, folate, manganese, phosphorus and zinc.
As part of a varied and balanced diet, it is safe to introduce Quorn products into the diet of babies and young children from the age of six months.
Many Quorn products are low in saturated fat. Where this is the case, we call this out on the front of our packs, to make it as easy as possible for you to choose healthier products.
